Surgi-gel is a viscous, water based, sterile adhering gel. These sachets contain purified water, glycerol, carboxymethylcellulose sodium, propyl hydroxybenzoate and methyl hydroxybenzoate as preservatives. These are sterilised by gamma irradiation that is recommended for general gynaecological, surgical, urological use and when vaginal lubrication is needed.

Adverse Reactions:

• Surgi-gelTM Sterile sachets are normally well tolerated, but should skin irritation occur, discontinue use
• Sensitisation has occurred when medications containing hydroxybenzoates have been applied to damaged or broken skin
• After topical use, local irritation may occur
• Hypersensitivity reactions have been reported

Contraindications: Known hypersensitivity to propyl hydroxybenzoate and methyl hydroxybenzoate.

Storage: Store in a cool dry place out of direct sunlight.
