Mepilex Border Heel is an all-in-one foam dressing shaped to fit the heel and protect the areas around the heel, Achilles and bilateral malleoli.  It assists in protecting the skin from damage caused by pressure, shear and friction. The Safetac technology layer protects skin by maintaining optimal positioning and limiting friction and shear at the patient-dressing site. The Safetac technology layer allows for repositioning of the dressing after skin inspection.

In treatment, the heel dressing effectively absorbs and retains exudate while maintaining a moist wound environment.  The Safetac layer seals the wound edges, preventing exudate leakage onto the surrounding skin, and reducing maceration risk.
